TALKING MARICH MAN SINGH IN NEW DELHI, SUSHIL KOIRALA, TOKYO UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL AND SINGAPORE FLIGHTS

Dear All,

Gespräch der Stadt (talk of the town) among many Nepalese down here has become the Nepali President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav's 'normal health' that Japan's Tokyo University Hospital 'could report' late last month to the 'worrying' people of Nepal. May god bless him and Nepali people also, if there exists one in Kathmandu's Pashupatinath temple! ('Pashupatinathle Hami Sabaiko Raksha Garun'!)

The topic of a good-natured banter also became Mr. Sushil Koirala, who sports a 'clean-cut' political leader's image, amongst the bad bunch of leaders in one of the most corrupted countries in the world, with no family of his own, unmarried as he has remained yet !  He has been here in the US twice already for his treatment. The cost, we really don't know: overheard on the web was some 5 millions X 2 = 10 millions or Ék Karod'. Not bad at all, should the Koiralas, following BP's 'attached neck to the king', reunite all the nationalist forces, firstly the most suppressed, oppressed and dehumanized Dalit folks again for the best of Nepal including the dethroned king or re-install him : as Shashank Koirala has just recently spoken out to the public.

The raillery doesn't come to its end yet as Mr. Prachanda, the Maoist Chief, who had already flown to Singapore for his wife's treatment, arrives home hastily on July the 9th to meet Salman Khurshid, the Indian External Affairs Minister at the Dwarikas and in only 3 hours' time the same day, flies back to Singapore again. Why so rush shuttling for this 'ultra-nationalist' of some 15 years ago?

Our heart aches so badly when, we hear the former Nepali Prime Minister Marich Man Singh's son Anil Singh appeal publicly for some help for his father's treatment in New Delhi! The former prime minister seemed 'defending Nepal's national interests' until April 1990 while India hard pressed for 'a weaker Nepali Royal palace' and multiparty democracy in Nepal. The result 23 years later: we all know where has Nepal gone today?

A group of people from Dang has raised some money for the former prime-minister's treatment but you know what, the daily treatment cost is reported 50 thousand rupees!

Folks give us a break, will you?
